We have an immediate need for a Data Analyst - Java, J2EE, PL/SQL Job Description: Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process. The candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines and have experience and desire to independently research, analyze and propose corrections to customer notification (alerts) issues and must be able to document defects. Daily hands-on investigation and research activities include: Root cause analysis of PL/SQL, Java (J2EE), and UNIX code. Identify resolution to production application issues related to development code and database functionality. Analyze and discuss results to various business unit stakeholders. Provide technical systems support within Internet Services Development to track and report application performance. Develop SQL queries that have minimum impact on database performance where queries written runs within minutes rather than hours. Develop automated daily reports for tracking platform health that may include the collection of data from log files. Prepare game plan and execution document. Duties may include one or more of the following: Create or modify scripts, queries, parameters to extract performance data from production environment. Create and analyze performance metrics and trends. Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements. Recommend changes to assure OLA/SLAs can be supported. Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must be able to query and analyze data from multiple applications and databases utilizing the clients standard tools as well as be able to customize scripts to isolate and resolve production issues associated with MQ, Web Service, and Batch process. Candidate must have strong analytical skills and be proficient in root cause analysis. Candidate should be able to write optimized SQL queries and have good UNIX shell scripting skills. Required Skills: Technical: Oracle SQL, PQ/SQL, Java (J2EE), Autosys, UNIX, Web services, XML, MQ, Core Spring, Scripting Language (ex.
