IS Technical Specialist - Primary function will be to partner with business segments for the creation, maintenance, implementation and validation Business Intelligence reports and dashboards. This position will play a critical role in the definition and deployment of Huntington’s information delivery strategy.
Detailed Description
Evaluate, design, build, implement, and support Business Intelligence technical solutions using industry leading BI tools Including OBIEE, Microstrategy, etc…
Generate and plan executive level dashboards, complex reporting, and metadata modeling.
Analyze business problems and design proper solutions
Work as lead in the design and development of dashboards and reports.
Understanding of designing applications for mobile presentation
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a technically related field of study
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Industry leading BI tools such as OBIEE, Microstrategy, SAS, etc…
Extensive Data Modeling experience in Star Schema/Snowflake schema design, Fact and Dimensions tables, Physical and logical data modeling.
Extensive experience in designing semantic layers to integrate BI layer with Databases- Physical, Business Model and Mapping and Presentation layers.
Ability to guide and train less experienced developers, architects and users.
Excellent proficiency in data and object level Security
Considerable experience working as a lead architect on large and complex projects.
Able to handle various projects at the same time, institute priorities, work in given time period and complete deadlines.
Strong understanding and experience with SQL, Relational databases, and other forms of Business Intelligence tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be a team player.
Banking experience a plus; Essbase experience a plus.
Excel, strong interpersonal skills, strong problem solving skills, ability to take initiative and work independently, ability to understand multiple, complex reporting environments, must be able to anticipate issues and be proactive,
