Senior Technical Specialist Our Client is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist DHHS to provide expert technology leadership and implement IT infrastructures in new facilities in Raleigh, NC. The Senior Technical Specialist must have Senior Technical Specialist experience on large, complex automation/IT infrastructure implementation projects, perform technical analysis of the current as-built network/infrastructure for the purpose of designing and implementing a new medical grade IT network/infrastructure solution, conduct feasibility studies, gather and define business, functional and technical requirements definition and perform data modelling, process modelling and prototyping, and create conceptual and detailed architecture/designs (network and security), detailed specifications, IT infrastructure implementation plans, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product integration plans. The Senior Technical Specialist must install, configure, integrate and test (all levels) IT infrastructure components/systems, provide IT infrastructure/systems support and transition knowledge to operations and maintenance support staff and create technical documentation and training materials. Senior Technical Specialist is responsible for conducting initial implementation training, perform product/system research and review, support the development of technical requirements for RFI/RFP/IFBs and evaluate proposals submitted in response to issued RFI/RFP/IFBs. The candidate must perform IT planning, systems conversion and/or migration, support the development of disaster recovery plans, work with the Senior Architect to assure continuity of planned technologies and review technical documents produced by the Developer or other external sources. He/she must perform technical architecture and other deliverable reviews for large-scale projects, assist the Project Manager with technical work breakdown structures, technical cost estimation and risk management and perform tasks as assigned by the DHHS Project Manager. REQUIRED: The candidate must have an in-depth understanding of distributed computing using N-tier, distributed processing, Client Server, Internet/Intranet technologies, in-depth knowledge of network infrastructures, virtualization, LANs; VLANs; WANs; WLANs; SANs; RTLS; VPN; TCP/IP; session initiation protocol (SIP); Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2); video conferencing; PBX, voice, data and unified communications; and programming techniques. The incumbent must have experience developing technical and non-technical solutions for supporting business process reengineering, experience with large scale projects crossing myriad functional areas using state-of-the-art technologies, experience leading group efforts and acting as liaison between business and technical staff, strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and interviewing/facilitation skills and very comfortable with hands-on technical consultation roles and working with business clients. The candidate needs to have experience with developing/reviewing assessment tools, experience with impact and gap analysis, able to produce and review documents related to technical requirements, designs and implementation plans and Technology Specialist must have Senior Technical Specialist experience on large, complex automation/IT infrastructure implementation projects. PREFERRED: The Client would prefer CCNP, CCIE or equivalent experience, 8 years of experience as an Advanced Technology Specialists, understands Project Management Methodology.df-mn
